New home

We recently move to our new home last Wednesday. Boxes and more boxes are loaded in the truck and to my new car :( Kailangan daw i-break in according to my hubby.  I thought you just need to drive it to the fullest speed. Pati pala loading kailangan din i-break in. Well I don't have much choice since we hastily needs to move-in because school days are coming.

Everyday we unpack boxes and assemble beds so we can make it to our scheduled housearming on Saturday.  We did not invite much since because of the limited space and to avoid conflicts na rin. :)  Better not to invite na lang. :)  I asked my mom to cook for me on Saturday.  Woknatoy and my favorite Fish fillet with mango sauce.

days to come by

I should have done this post first day of the year.. I would probably end up doing some sort of "new year's resolution" type of entry.  But of course there are couple of things I would really like to do this year.

Travel... more.  Due to our recent acquisition of a new home, we have to let go of some things we enjoy much and this is one of those.  Of course travelling doesn't need to be expensive so that would be a challenge this year.

Dine.. more. Well, I have been employed by a company known for it's high-end and luxurious brands and there are certain concepts I need to check and try for the love of my job.  I'm actually torn between happy and sad.   Happy because I would love to go out with my hubby and sad because he might be intimidated to try those places.  He would normally ask who's paying for these meals.. I was thinking of pointing my finger to him but I know he would have fainted by then.

Spend time with kids and family.. more.  I kept on telling myself that job and other things are just a piece of my life's pie no need to make it your whole pie.  Mommy mode on after work and Work mode on when at work.

Save.. more.  Not the grocery, but with strict budget I really have to manage it well.. I think my CAPEX and OPEX should be cut down to fit my REVENUE. :)

Be more healthy.  I'm usually keen on losing weight but in the middle of it I seem to bump off the trail.  So I don't really want to promise anything to be skinny but rather maybe try to be more healthy.  Less processed and fast food for us. :)

That being said.. the year started right and there are plenty of things to look forward to.. a new home, new school for the kids and new adjustment.. :)

We left our house around 5am in the morning to go to my in-laws.  My husband would be visiting the cemetery with his parents.  The kiddos and I were left at my in-laws' house because we don't want the kids to catch anything in the cemetery. Just like when A had allergies and was confined at the hospital.  Worst is, she celebrated her 4th birthday there. :(  Anyway, that's why we don't allow the kids to visit the cemetery during these times because they might get allergic to pollen and get sick.

We went home the next day around 5am in the morning since my husband have to go to work. :P

We were invited to my aunt's S birthday lunch.  My mom was in charge of the menu and cooking. (so lahat masarap) I love the fish fillet fritters with mango sauce.  Super yummy!!  (sorry I wasn't able to take some photos)

Halloween... hallawin... halloween

I had my last meeting finished at 6pm.  Thought I could go home early but in fairness to my bosses they get me off immediately. :) 

I was rushing home for our Halloween dinner at my parent's house.  Barbecues, kebab and more barbecues. :)  As usual my husband is late for the dinner again but he told me that he will just catch up with us. (as if)  Anyway, we dressed up the kids and gave them their treats.  My nephew JL just got from a trick or treat event at his mom's workplace.  His pumpkin bag is already full of candies :) I asked my mom to buy my son JT his own Halloween basket.

family time

I just saw this at one of my friends wall in Facebook.  It struck me big time so I have to repost and share it with my friends with note "for workaholics". 

I repost this also because I felt that it is applicable to what I'm feeling right now.  I was not happy when my husband told me that he has to work late for the week.  I do not have problems with that but when you tell me that after a month with no day-off and late night work, it begins to pissed me off.  The kids would normally look for my husband whenever I woke up late with them over the weekend.  They would excitedly look for him because they know that we will be taking them out to eat or play.   Unfortunately, he have to be at work even on Sundays. :( :(

I don't know how my patience is holding up or how much my understanding would take me but I'm pretty disappointed right now that he cannot leave his work to be with us.

I always remember that one cannot have work-life balance because there is no such thing as 50% family, 50% work.  You either decide to which you would give your 100%.  I know exactly where I would give my 100% and that would be for my family.

holidays

It's the last day of my 3-days work week.  Yay!  I got a long weekend ahead and there's so much things to do.  My yaya will be leaving tomorrow so we will be back to bummer-mornings again and I have to do all chores by myself .  I need to get as much energy to get back to usual routine by next week.

Anyway, in line with the All Souls day my dad requested for a Halloween party at their house on November 1.  But due to tight schedule of everyone including my workaholic husband we need to move it earlier tonight instead of tomorrow.  It will be just our usual barbecue nights but of course we ask the kids to dress up for picture taking later with candies to give-away.  Well,  there are only three of them my daughter A, son J and my nephew J. :)  I told my mom that my son J should have his costume as well because I'm sure maiinggit yon.  So we decided to make him wear my nephew's Woody costume. Can't wait to see him later.. he's so adorable! while ate naman is big girl na. :)

My 3-days work week

After 3 days of weekend.. :) My sleep eat pattern at home left me with additional pounds for sure.  Now I'm back at work with just 3-days work since November 1 & 2 are holidays here.  Yay! We will be having our usual halloween party at my parent's home.  Simple barbeque party.. I would love to have a mongolian or mexican party sana. :)  But barbeque is ok.

So when do I start my diet na... hmmm... I don't really really know. I don't seem to stick to it.  Low motivation siguro.  But I need to lose some weight talaga.. :(

My boss will be back today from her Japan trip.  I have prepared my presentation already but it seems that I could not fit into her schedule to present it to her.  Busy.. busy mother bee.. hay.  I hope she doesn't get the impression that I'm not doing my job.  Now, I miss my mall job.  At least there's a lot to see when you're in the mall.  Sa office.. officemates lang. :) 

Anyway, I need to go back to what I'm doing.  :) Ciao
